Human memory is fragile by antonomasia and the institutions -private or public- do not have the investigative capacity, the resources and the elements for history to record the facts that constitute the foundation of the social task and, for that reason, our country is -in the Latin American scenario-, One of the countries that registers less identity with respect to our republican and cultural formation, principles, values, traditions, testimonies, as we have been indolent in the exaltation and preservation of the figures, of the emblematic icons of what we are and we have not acted conscious of our own history. Valencia Martínez is making history by recalling, with the criteria of an excellent jurist, the events of outstanding figures of the nationality, so that their memory does not fall into oblivion. His effort is meritorious, collected from long ago, in his books, sponsored by the Academy of Jurisprudence and, in this case, in collaboration with the University of Applied and Environmental Sciences U.D.C.A. and the Academy.
